VM-feber i hela världen

The sales of televisions increased in Bangladesh ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2010 which will begin on June 11 in South Africa.

The electronic retailers see the World Cup tournament as a unique opportunity to raise their sales as more customers will purchase televisions to watch the upcoming sporting extravaganza.
Muhammad A Manhan, senior manager of the M K Electronic store, told Xinhua that more customers are showing their interest in buying a new or a better television due to the World Cup.
"For the World Cup, our LCD television selling is going up. And we are expecting to sell more when the World Cup starts," he said.
Manhan said they usually sold four to six televisions everyday, but now, the number increased to 7 to 10.
He said people can only watch the World Cup matches once in every four years, so the customers are focusing on bigger and high-quality televisions like LCD, Plasma and LED televisions although they are very expensive. /People's Daily Online (Kina)
