Days of Flooding Leave 100,000 Homeless in Brazil

At least 39 people have been killed in northeastern Brazil over the past few days as flooding continues across the region. Another 1,000 are missing, according to authorities. "President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has called a crisis cabinet meeting for Tuesday and said the government would make federal funds available to help the homeless," which now number 100,000, AFP reported.
