Edgewater Exploration (TSXV:EDW) anticipates releasing continued encouraging drill results from its 35,000 metre infill drill program on its Corcoesto Gold project in Galicia, Northwest Spain. Edgewater has a market capitalization of $20 million and is in the process of raising at least $3 million. The first tranche of the private placement was recently closed and raised $2.3 million.
Highbank Resources (TSXV:HBK) is developing its Swamp Point North aggregate mine 130 km north of Prince Rupert BC. The company expects to commence production in August this year and management expects to announce further aggregate sales contracts in the very near future. Highbank has a market capitalization of about $4.4 million and has about $150,000 in the bank. The company is in the process of raising $700,000.
Kivalliq Energy (TSXV:KIV) is expecting and update from its ongoing diamond drilling program at and proximal to, the high-grade Lac Cinquante uranium resource area. In addition, the company is expecting results from reverse circulation drilling at exploration targets across the 250,000 acre Angilak Property. Kivalliq has a market capitalization of $63 million and after its recent bought deal financing has about $20 million in the bank.
Mountain Lake Resources (TSXV:MOA) will mail out an independent fairness opinion to its shareholders regarding the acquisiton of Mountain Lake by Marathon Gold (TSX-V:MOZ). Management has signed the deal and look forward to Mountain Lake shareholders approving the completion of this transaction on June 29th 2012. The share consideration of $0.30 per share represents a 20% premium to Mountain Lake's pre-announcement closing price on May 23, 2012.
Sutter Gold (TSXV:SGM) is expecting additional results from its ongoing drill campaign at its Lincoln mine project near Sutter Creek California. At last report, 11 holes were completed and results were announced for the first nine holes. The company is focused on delineating near-term extensions of the zones that they hope to mine during the first five years of production. Sutter has a current market capitalization of $43.4 million. The company announced it was attempting to raise $15 million through a non brokered private placement at US$0.35 per share.
