Building ALMA: Earth's Largest Radio Telescope




This video, from 2010, shows construction of the Atacama Large Millimeter/ Sub-millimeter Array (ALMA) in the bone-dry landscape of the Atacama Desert in Chile. ALMA's big "eyes" must be placed with precision of less than a centimeter.
