Seven carriers
In October, China Southern Airlines' first Airbus A380 made its maiden voyage from Beijing to Guangzhou, about 100 miles northwest of Hong Kong, becoming the first carrier to fly the superjumbo jet in China.
The Asian carrier becomes the seventh airline worldwide to fly the A380 commercially. Others that operate the plane are Korean Air, Lufthansa, Air France, Emirates, Qantas Airways and Singapore Airlines.
