Italy moves to form new government


Italy's president is trying to gather support for Mario Monti's government of technocrats to calm the markets. Meanwhile, Silvio Berlusconi may be preparing to address Italy tonight on television - and just as well he has his own TV stations to carry it.
Italians who celebrated last night and feel a sense of relief today still have much to be anxious about tomorrow. What austerity will mean for them, where it will leave Italy's place in Europe and the world, and how the whole episode will hang over Italian politics are still being worked out. Imagine if it was Britain - the impact on party politics would last years, perhaps decades. We'll be talking to author and commentator Beppe Severgnini from Milan.
