The ILA Berlin Air Show (Internationale Luft- und Raumfahrtausstellung) in Schönefeld, near the southeastern districts of Berlin, recorded a turnout of 230,000 visitors over the weekend. Among them, 125,000 industry professionals were in attendance, as was the case two years ago, explained the chief executive of the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI), Dietmar Schrick, at the closing of event proceedings on Sunday. Attendance numbers were just as strong at the 2010 event, he added.

The ILA Berlin Air Show (German: Internationale Luft- und Raumfahrtausstellung (ILA)) is an aviation related fair held biennially in Schönefeld, Brandenburg 18 km south of Berlin, Germany.
The ILA’s main display sections include commercial aviation, aerospace, military aviation and military technology, equipment and engines, and general aviation and helicopters. Being the oldest aerospace exhibition that was first held in 1909, it ranks among the world's largest and most important aerospace trade fairs.
In September 2012, the next exhibition will be held at the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport, an area close to the southwestern end of the newly built Berlin Brandenburg Airport. During the first four days admission is restricted to trade visitors only, while the last two days are open to the general public.
