Two days before the Academy Awards, the Motion Picture Assn. of America's ratings board announced that it has given a PG-13 rating to an alternate version of Oscar frontrunner "The King's Speech" in which the swear words have been removed.
The MPAA will allow distributor the Weinstein Company to run both the existing R-rated version, and the more mild alternative, in theaters simultaneously.
