The United Kingdom could have a new Prime Minister by the end of Monday as Andrea Leadsom (bilden), one of the two Conservative Party lawmakers vying for the position, abruptly quit the race Monday.
Leadsom's withdrawal means Home Secretary Theresa May is the sole contender to succeed David Cameron as leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister. The Home Secretary could become Prime Minister as soon as Monday afternoon, though it's not yet certain the party will not seek another candidate for the leadership contest
