Essex radio ham receives ISS SSTV


On October 29 Pete Sipple M0PSX received amateur radio Slow Scan TV images from the International Space Station

The images were transmitted as part of a two-day experiment in which SSTV was sent on 145.800 MHz FM.


Slow-scan television (SSTV) is a picture transmission method, used mainly by amateur radio operators, to transmit and receive static pictures via radio in monochrome or color.
