Hizbullah head Hassan Nasrallah said Tuesday that the new government in Lebanon was “not a Hizbullah government,” and that the prospective Prime Minister Najib Miqati was actually a “moderate.” Nasrallah said that “the U.S. and Israel are worried that the new government will be led by the opposition agenda of Hizbullah,” which Miqati subscribed to.
A report from Tripoli in north Lebanon on Tuesday afternoon said that there had been shooting and rioting outside Miqati's home. No injuries were reported. Miqati is expected to begin putting together his government in the coming days.
