New deal to keep Oscars in Hollywood for 20 years; Kodak Theatre to be renamed Dolby Theatre

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said today that the Academy Awards will remain in Hollywood at the Hollywood & Highland complex under a new 20-year deal. Meanwhile, Dolby Laboratories announced an agreement to rename the former Kodak Theatre at the complex the Dolby Theatre. The announcements come after months of speculation that the Oscars might relocate to L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles, and after Kodak filed for bankruptcy and dropped its name from the theater.
