Albert Göring, brother of Hermann Göring

Hermann Göring was one of the Nazi party's most powerful figures and an adamant anti-Semite. But his younger brother Albert worked to save the lives of dozens of Jews

Albert Göring's list of the 34 people he saved from Nazi persecution: The alphabetical chart lists their name, occupation, hometown, citizenship and the last place he saw them. It was the basis for Australian author William Hastings Burke's book "Thirty Four," to be published in German in late May 2012.
