NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — The U.S. dollar rallied 2% against the euro after the inability of European officials to resolve their differences over how to respond to the Greek debt crisis pushed the single currency to the lowest level this month. The euro sank further after reports emerged that Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou had said he would form a new government Thursday, which could complicate the country’s receipt of international aid.
