The Daily Mail is following every cough and splutter in the Twitter spat between singer Lily Allen and punchy columnist Julie Burchill. The paper documents Round 2 on Friday after Burchill's column in Thursday's Independent but alas, it seems to be over before it has really begun. "Despite her remarks, Miss Burchill rounds off her column saying she has a soft sport for Miss Allen ... Miss Allen had last night failed to respond to the comments." Ah well, here's hoping.
