Kina kommer inom alla områden

It is no longer a dream to have a personal computer with 1 trillion calculations per second. China's first teraflop computer, based on Godson 3A processors, has been successfully developed by China University of Technology recently. The KD-60 super computer, jointly developed by China University of Technology and Shenzhen University, was approved by experts in April 17. It is China's first teraflop computer using a Chinese-made high-performance general-purpose processor.The size of a washing machine, the super computer is equipped with 80 Godson 3A processors and it is a capable of 1 trillion calculations per second when operating at peak speed. Experts said the successful development of the KD-60 is another important step toward super computer individualization./People's Daily Online (Kina)
