The San Francisco 49ers rallied from a 17-point deficit in the first half to defeat the Atlanta Falcons, 28-24, at the Georgia Dome to win the NFC championship game and earn a trip to the Super Bowl on Feb. 3 in New Orleans. The 49ers will play the winner of the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens, who play in the AFC title game that begins at 3:30 p.m. Pacific time. More soon at www.latimes.com.
