La Forza del destino by Verdi

Thirty years after it was last performed at the Opera national de Paris, La Forza del destino is staged there again by Jean-Claude Auvray who precisely started his career with this work.
This opera composed by Giuseppe Verdi is about love, secret, murder and fate during the War of the Austrian Succession in the middle of the XVIIIth century.
Live from the Opera Bastille, Philippe Jordan on the podium will conduct the Paris Opera Orchestra and Chorus and the production will star Marcelo Raúl Àlvarez (Don Alvaro), Violeta Urmana (Donna Leonora), Mario Luperi (Il Marchese di Calatrava), Vladimir Stoyanov (Don Carlo di Vargas ).
